Optimised gear ratios plus the A&S clutch deliver super-smooth performance – and the glorious growl from the twin-tail exhaust and efficient intake system amplifies the thrill of every ride.
Lightweight CF aluminium die-cast frame
TRACER 9 is equipped with a lightweight CF die-cast aluminium Deltabox frame providing high levels of rigidity that gives sport bike agility with sure-footed stability. For excellent high speed stability combined with sporty cornering and agile handling there’s an extended TRACER 9-specific aluminium swingarm.
Full 3-bag luggage capability
TRACER 9 offers you the option of fitting a total of 3 hard luggage cases, enabling you and your passenger to take a full complement of kit on every road trip. Designed to handle up to 193 kg on board, this versatile motorcycle is a true Sport Tourer in every sense.
6-Axis IMU plus lean-sensitive rider aids
TRACER 9 is equipped with some of the most advanced electronic rider aids for added confidence and precise controllability in different weather and road surface conditions. Developed from the R1M, the compact six-axis IMU governs a lean-sensitive three-mode Traction Control System (TCS), as well as a Slide Control System (SCS), front wheel LIFt Control System (LIF) and Brake Control system (BC).

The compact and aerodynamic body design gives the TRACER 9 a modern and impressive look that perfectly conveys the bike’s exciting sporting character alongside its versatile touring capabilities. The lightweight fairing enhances your riding comfort over long distances, while the 18-litre fuel tank gives a 350 km+ range between fuel stops.
Full LED lighting
Compact LED lighting is featured throughout the TRACER 9. Separate high/low mono-focus headlights give the bike a dynamic look and provide superior illumination in any situation. LED flashers reinforce the bike’s premium status, while the signature TRACER family taillight enhances the bike’s lightweight looks and sporty feel.
Twin 3.5-inch TFT meters
Twin 3.5-inch TFT screens provide intuitive, easy-to-read data that enables you to focus on your riding while being kept fully informed. While the left screen displays key operational information such as speed, rpm, gear and rider aid mode, the right screen features non-critical data including odometer, temperature and trip 1 and trip 2.
Lightweight SpinForged wheels
Manufactured using Yamaha-exclusive technology, the SpinForged wheels minimise unsprung weight for superior suspension feel and performance. As well as helping to achieve a low wet weight of 212kg, these ultra-light wheels contribute towards the next generation TRACER 9’s increased fuel efficiency.
Adjustable suspension
TRACER 9’s fully adjustable 41 mm USD front forks enable you to make easy adjustments to achieve the best set-up for every ride – whether you’re riding solo or two up. At the rear the compact shock can also be adjusted to suit the load and riding conditions – and the long aluminium swingarm gives an extended wheelbase for confidence-inspiring stability at higher speeds and with higher loads.
2-position adjustable seat
The TRACER 9’s handlebar/footrest/seat layout has been carefully developed to give a sporty yet comfortable riding position that offers full control as well as comfort. The 2-position seat enables tool-less height adjustment, enabling you to customise the ergonomics to match your riding style and physique.
Aerodynamic fairing
The TRACER 9 is fitted with a beautifully styled aerodynamic fairing and tall screen that provide excellent wind protection with reduced buffeting. Along with the bike’s fuel range of 350 km, the bodywork enables you to cover long distances in comfort, solo and two-up.
